Action will be taken against the officers who do not take the meetings seriously
Apart from this, the government has also taken seriously the absence of police and administrative officers while conducting public hearing during the visits of ministers in the districts. The Chief Minister holds meetings with departmental officers from time to time. Many department head officers do not release the agenda of the meeting on time.
Due to this, the actual information about the schemes related to the department and the government is not revealed in the meetings. Not only this, officers of many departments do not release the proceedings report regarding the decisions taken in the meeting for many days.
Due to the reports of decisions taken in the meeting not being released on time, the information does not reach the officers posted in the field and they are not able to implement the government’s schemes on time. Due to the ACS not releasing the proceedings of the meeting, the notification of the decisions taken by the government is also not released on time.
Instructions to release the agenda before the meeting
Due to the negligence of the bureaucracy, the decisions taken by the government remain as newspaper statements for many months. In such a situation, the Chief Secretary has issued instructions to all the Additional Chief Secretaries, Administrative Secretaries of the state that the agenda of any meeting to be held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister will be released on time. In this, it will be ensured that this agenda is released only a day before the meeting.
Detailed details of the agenda will have to be mailed
Apart from this, the proceedings of the decisions taken in the meetings chaired by the Chief Minister should be released within three working days. The Chief Secretary has issued an e-mail ID for the Administrative Secretaries and has directed them to mail him the agenda and detailed details of the meeting.
