The weather is likely to remain bad in Haryana for the next 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, Ambala, Jind, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Panchkula, Panipat and Yamunanagar will remain cloudy.
It rained in 12 districts of the state last night. These include Yamunanagar, Panipat, Hisar, Nuh, Rewari, Sonipat, Palwal, Jhajjar, Mahendragarh, Bhiwani, Faridabad and Panchkula.
School holidays in Ambala and Kurukshetra have been extended till January 17. Some schools in Sonipat have started online classes. In the remaining districts, schools from play-way to 12th are open normally.
On Thursday morning, there was dense fog in Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Sonipat, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Gurugram and Faridabad. Due to dense fog in Kalanaur of Rohtak, visibility was less than 10 meters.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of a drop in temperature in the state due to light fog and winds blowing at a speed of 10 km per hour. Rain has been recorded in 12 districts of the state in the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall was recorded in Faridabad at 10 mm, Jind at 7.2 mm and Gurugram at 4.5 mm.
Due to the changing weather in the state, the minimum temperature increased by 4.1 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature of 8.5 degrees was recorded in Mahendragarh and Hisar. At the same time, the highest minimum temperature of 11.1 degrees was recorded in Yamunanagar and Karnal.

According to Dr. Madan Khichad, Head of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU), Hisar, the weather will keep changing in Haryana till January 19. During this time, there is a possibility of cloudy weather and fog in the morning. Apart from this, sporadic drizzle is expected at some places on January 18.

Earlier, road accidents occurred in Karnal, Faridabad and Panipat on Wednesday due to fog. In which 4 people died. In Faridabad, an uncontrolled tractor-trolley overturned on Ballabhgarh-Chandawali road due to dense fog on Wednesday. One person died on the spot after being crushed in it.
Two road accidents occurred in Panipat due to fog. Three people died in these accidents. One accident occurred in Samalkha police station area and the other accident occurred under Sector 13-17 police station area. The deceased have been identified as Krish Kalyan (20) resident of Karihar, Bihar, Anurag (20) resident of Mahendragarh and Suchat (50) resident of village Babail (Panipat).
