BJP is making a comeback in Delhi after 27 years. According to the Election Commission, BJP won 25 seats and is leading on 23 seats, i.e. a total of 48 seats. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has also won 13 seats, is leading on 9 seats, i.e. a total of 22 seats. Congress has not got a single seat.
In this change, AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal lost the election from New Delhi and Sisodia from Jangpura seat. Chief Minister Atishi has won the election from Kalkaji seat. Satyendra Jain has also lost the election. After the defeat, Kejriwal said – We accept defeat. I congratulate BJP for the victory. People have given them a majority. They will live up to the expectations of the people.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach the party headquarters in the evening and will give a speech among the workers. Meanwhile, the General Administration Department of the Delhi Government issued orders to seal the Secretariat. It said that no file or document, computer hardware should go out of the premises of the Secretariat without permission.

In 2020, BJP won only 8 seats. In 2025, it won 6 times more i.e. more than 48 seats.
20 candidates on Kejriwal’s New Delhi seat lost their deposits. The votes they got could not even reach three digits.
Kejriwal lost to Pravesh Verma by 4089 votes, while Sandeep Dixit got only 4568 votes.
The sons of both the former Chief Ministers of BJP have won the elections. Pravesh Verma from New Delhi and Harish Khurana from Moti Nagar. Pravesh is the son of former Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma. Khurana is the son of former CM Madan Lal Khurana.
Congress has not been able to open its account for the third consecutive time. Kasturba Nagar is the only assembly where Congress stood second.
Congress did not win a single seat, but vote increased by 2%
BJP’s 39 seats increased compared to the last election (2020). At the same time, AAP has lost 39 seats. Congress remained empty handed this time too. Could not win a single seat.

Delhi CM Atishi said, ‘I want to thank my entire team. This is the mandate of the people of Delhi and we accept it. I have won my seat, this is not the time to celebrate. Our fight is on. Our fight against BJP will continue.’
Kejriwal said- I congratulate BJP for the victory. People have given them majority. I hope they will live up to the expectations of the people. We have worked in the field of education, water and electricity. The people have given us the decision. We will play the role of constructive opposition. We will help the people in their happiness and sorrow. We have not come to power for politics. We have come to share the happiness and sorrow of the people. I want to congratulate all the workers of AAP. They have worked hard for majority. They fought a great election, congratulations to them.
BJP-AAP workers came face to face at Maharani Bagh counting center in Delhi. Workers of both the parties raised slogans.
