Modern facilities will soon be expanded in major Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation Limited (CITCO) hotels in Chandigarh. CITCO’s engineering department has decided to improve security and facilities in Hotel Mountview, Shivalikview and Parkview.
Two 400 KVA DG sets will be installed in Hotel Mountview located in Sector-10, whose tender has been approved. Two new glass lifts will also be installed along with the repair of the existing glass capsule lift here. Technical approval has also been received for two 400 KVA DG sets in Hotel Shivalikview in Sector-17.
Fire fighting system will be modernized
CITCO Managing Director Hari Kallikat (IAS) said that, to strengthen security, baggage scanners will be installed in Hotel Mountview and Shivalikview. Fire alarm and fire fighting system will be modernized in Hotel Parkview located in Sector-24. Also, a sewage and effluent treatment plant of 80 KLD capacity will also be installed.
He said that expert consultants are being appointed to upgrade the fire safety systems in all hotels. These modern facilities will increase the efficiency of hotels and guests will get better and safer services.
