After the attacks on police stations and posts in the border areas of Punjab for some time, the police has now started a new strategy to strengthen its security circle. A bullet-proof plan has been prepared to install CCTV cameras at 140 places in Amritsar city and 25 police stations in Jalandhar. To complete this work quickly and within the stipulated time, the project will be completed with the help of a private company.
The deadline for completing this project has been set at the end of June. The marking of the location for installing the cameras has been completed. To ensure that the cameras do not become a showpiece after installation, the company installing them will also take care of them and fulfill other responsibilities.
This is how cameras will be used in this project
The police has started work on the project under the city surveillance system. This project is also being considered important because it will help in controlling criminals easily. At the same time, a number can also be kept on those who break traffic rules.
High resolution and night vision cameras, RPN (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), RLD cameras and PDZ cameras, pan tilt zoom cameras will be used in the project. The cameras will be able to recognize the numbers of fast passing vehicles and the faces of the vehicle riders. A control room will be built for the cameras. Where all the data will be safe. Earlier, almost all the big cities were visited by DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav. Along with this, a plan was made to crack down on criminals.
Modern beat box in rural areas
Not only this, the police has now started work on the modern beat box project in rural areas. Real time high-tech cameras will be installed on these beat boxes. Also, flasher lights, emergency numbers and information giving LEDs will be installed. These beat boxes will be built in rural areas and border areas. If there is any information about a criminal, the police will immediately display its information on the beat box. The police has started this project on PPP mode. In the first phase, it has been installed in the border areas adjoining the capital in Chandigarh.
