A woman in Sector 56, Chandigarh has made serious allegations against the police. Domestic worker Parvati Devi has said in a complaint to SSP Kanwardeep Kaur that her 10-year-old daughter is being used by drug traffickers, but the police are harassing her instead of helping her.
According to Parvati Devi, when she goes to work, her daughter remains alone at home. One night a person gave her daughter a packet and money. On investigation, it was found that a boy from the neighbourhood had involved the girl in this work.
When Parvati protested against this, the alleged drug traffickers attacked her. When she reached Sector 56 police post for help, post in-charge Prem Kumar not only abused her, but also took her in a police vehicle and left her in front of the accused, where she was again beaten up.
On the other hand, post in-charge Prem Kumar says that Parvati’s complaint is false and she herself trades in drugs. The investigation of the case is pending in the SSP office.
The woman has also mentioned the video as evidence in her complaint to the SSP.
