Dog’s head found in the fridge of momo makers in Matour: Investigation will be done – whether they ate it themselves or fed it

A dog’s severed head was found inside the fridge in the same factory in Mataur where food items were destroyed on Sunday. Also, some meat was found in the utensils. These have been confiscated. Momos and spring rolls were made in this factory and supplied to many places. Now it will be investigated whether the dog’s meat was put in the momos and fed to people or the artisans working here ate it themselves. Part of this dog’s body is missing. The head is also not complete, the part found looks like the head of a pug. The head has been sent to the Veterinary Department for examination. Frozen chopped meat and a crusher machine have also been found in the factory. Samples of momos, spring rolls and red chutney have also been sent to the lab for examination. Officials say that all the samples have been sent for examination. Further action will be taken only after their report comes. This factory of making momos and spring rolls was running in village Mataur. Here food items were being prepared in filth. The villagers made a video of the factory and made it viral on social media.

After that, the health department team raided on Sunday and destroyed some items. But the villagers said that it was just a formality. After this, on Monday, when the health and municipal corporation teams conducted a search operation in village Mataur, a dog’s head was found in the fridge. All the workers working in the factory have fled.

The factory was running for 2 years, complaints for 6 months, supply in Tricity

A momos factory was running in house number 280 of village Mataur for the last 2 years. There is a shop by the name of Khan Bakery in the village itself. The property where the factory was running also belongs to the same owner. According to the information, 8-10 people of Nepali origin lived here, who used to make momos and spring rolls. Ravi of the village told that for the last 6 months, complaints were coming about the factory that food items are made here in a very dirty condition and supplied further. Yesterday, he came here with his friends and made a video. It was seen that food items were being prepared by filling water from the toilet and in completely black oil. Rotten vegetables were being put into momos and spring rolls. Farmer leader and Matour resident Param Baidwan said- people from Nepal used to work and live here. One to one and a half quintals of momos and spring rolls were prepared here daily. These people had set up 18 bases of theirs in the nearby areas, where their own people used to stand and sell the goods. Apart from this, they used to supply momos and spring rolls from here in the entire tri-city on Activa and bikes. Their own employee had told that they deliver the goods till Chandigarh, Panchkula and Kalka.
