The Punjab Kings team has reached Chandigarh for the first match of IPL. Punjab Kings will face Rajasthan Royals in this match to be held on 5 April. For this, team captain Shreyas Iyer along with Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, Harpreet Brar and Marcus Stoinis took part in the practice session at PCA Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur. There is a lot of enthusiasm among cricket lovers to watch the first match of IPL, and Punjab Kings is leaving no stone unturned in its preparations.
Practice done at Mullanpur Stadium
Punjab Kings players took part in net practice and fielding drills at Mullanpur Cricket Stadium on Monday. Head coach Ricky Ponting was also present with the team. The players did intensive preparation of running, catching and batting-bowling.
Punjab Kings recently organized a training camp in Dharamshala. Now all the players of the team have reached Chandigarh. The arrival of foreign players is also going on and everyone will join the team in the next two days.
Mullanpur and Dharamshala made home ground
Punjab Kings franchise has declared Mullanpur Cricket Stadium and Dharamshala Cricket Ground as its home ground for this season. The team will play a total of 7 matches here, out of which 4 matches will be held in Mullanpur and 3 in Dharamshala.
