Shiromani Akali Dal will get a new chief before Baisakhi. Sukhbir Badal will take over the reins of the party again. Only formalities are left for this. A meeting of the party’s working committee has been called today. The election process and delegates will be finalized in the meeting.
New chief can be presented at Baisakhi conference
After this, the date of election will be announced. It is believed that a general house meeting can be called on April 10 and Sukhbir Badal’s name can be proposed in it. Probably no one will challenge him.
The party wants to complete the election process before Baisakhi on April 13 so that a new chief can be presented in the conference to be held on Baisakhi festival in Talwandi Sabo.
Let us tell you that Baisakhi conference has always been of great importance in the politics of SAD, because on this day the Khalsa Panth was established and traditionally on this day the farmer also starts harvesting the wheat crop. The main political base of SAD is also the village.
Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad resigned from the party
Senior party leader Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that a decision will be taken in the party’s working committee meeting on Tuesday as to when the process of election of the chief will be completed. At the same time, All India Sikh Student Federation chief Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad has resigned from the party. He also raised questions on the appointment of Jathedar.
He said that Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal can reach an agreement by seeking an apology from the Gandhi family. However, Dr. Cheema said that only Peer Mohammad can answer where this thing came from. At the same time, regarding the party delegates, Cheema said that more than 500 delegates can participate in the election process.
Sukhbir Badal had resigned on 16 November 2024
Let us tell you that four delegates have been made in one assembly constituency. There are 117 assembly seats in the state, which will have 468 delegates. Delegates from other states will also take part in the election process. It is believed that Sukhbir Badal will not face any challenge in the election for the post of Pradhan.
He can be re-elected as Pradhan only unanimously. Let us tell you that on 16 November 2024, Sukhbir Badal resigned from the post of Pradhan. However, the party’s working committee accepted his resignation on January 10 under pressure from Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
