Good news! Two flyovers to be built on Delhi-Jaipur highway, journey of 40 thousand drivers will become easier

Date:

Gurugram: To end traffic jams in Manesar and Bilaspur on Delhi-Jaipur highway, construction of flyover will start by the end of June. Tender has been opened for this. Eight construction companies have participated in the tender. One of these companies will be selected by the end of this month.

After this, the process of allotment of work will be started during June. In this way, work will start at the ground level by the end of June. The demand for building flyovers at both places has been going on for a long time. Last month, local MP and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Planning, Statistics and Program Implementation Rao Indrajit Singh met Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari.

During that time, Gadkari had told the officials of National Highway Authority of India that the construction of both the flyovers should be started simultaneously. Preparations have been expedited as per the instructions. The construction of both the flyovers will not only solve the problem of traffic jams but will also curb accidents.

Project at a glance

A 1.2 km long flyover will be built in Manesar.

A nearly one kilometer long flyover will be built in Bilaspur.

Six-lane flyovers will be built at both the places.

Service lanes will be built along with the flyovers at both the places.

Three-lane service lanes will be built at both the places.

An amount of Rs 115 crore will be spent on the entire project.

The project will be completed within 30 months at both the places.

40 thousand vehicles pass through both the places every day

According to an estimate, more than 40 thousand vehicles pass through Manesar and Bilaspur on an average every day. An average of 80 thousand vehicles pass through Kherki Daula toll plaza operated on Delhi-Jaipur highway every day. NHAI gets an average revenue of Rs 48 lakh per day from these.

It is estimated that out of about 80 thousand vehicles, only 50 percent go beyond Manesar. Due to this, traffic pressure in Manesar is very high. Despite the number of vehicles being less, the main reason behind the high traffic pressure in Bilaspur is this intersection.

This intersection connects the roads going to Tawadu and Pataudi. A big reason is that most of the heavy vehicles pass through Bilaspur intersection. Binola industrial area is nearby.

Six states including Haryana will benefit

Apart from Haryana, people from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi pass through Delhi-Jaipur highway. In this way, people of six states including Haryana face traffic pressure every day. Not only this, Manesar and Bilaspur have a very dense population. People keep crossing the highway throughout the day.

Due to this, accidents keep happening often. With the construction of both flyovers, accidents will come down considerably. Village Manesar resident and retired chief town planner Prof. KK Yadav says that there is a demand for building a flyover for many years. God knows how many people have become victims of accidents. Now there should be no delay. Construction of flyovers at both the places will accelerate the pace of development in the surrounding areas.

Tenders have been issued for building flyovers at both the places. Eight companies have come forward. One of them has to be selected. The name of the company will be made public as soon as the selection is done. Before building the flyovers, service lanes will be built at both the places so that the traffic pressure does not increase. By the end of June, work will start at the ground level in any case.
