The police have registered an FIR after a fake document of Common Eligibility Test (CET) advertisement in the name of Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) went viral on social media on the night of 28 April. In this case, Panchkula Police has arrested a YouTuber, whose interrogation is going on. Actually, many fake notices have been going viral in the name of Haryana Staff Selection Commission earlier also. But this time the commission took the matter seriously. Panchkula Police is also engaged in investigating this matter in depth.
Investigation has revealed that there are many such YouTubers, who are government employees but make videos on YouTube. The commission has also written two mobile numbers and the name of a social media group in the complaint.
1. The commission had sent the complaint on May 1
The complaint of the FIR registered by Panchkula Police was sent by the Deputy Secretary of Haryana Staff Selection Commission on May 1. In this FIR, the commission has written that CET candidates have been confused by tampering with the documents of the commission and promoting them in a wrong manner.
2. Advertisement tampered and made to look like original
The complaint reads, ‘It is brought to your notice that we have come to know that the documents of Haryana Staff Selection Commission such as advertisements etc. are being edited in the computer in such a way that they appear to be real documents. By doing this, some people are illegally sending them to the candidates through social media.
3. Social media group being operated from two mobile numbers
In this regard, it has come to notice that this work is being carried out by a social media group operated from two mobile numbers and many other numbers. Many candidates are suffering due to this work and an attempt is also being made to tarnish the image of the commission. You are requested to please take concrete legal action in this regard.
4. FIR registered under these sections
The commission has told the police that for any kind of assistance, the documents can be taken from the commission office. Panchkula police registered a case under sections 318(4), 338, 336(3), 340(2) of the Indian Penal Code on the basis of this complaint. Now the police is investigating the matter thoroughly to find out where this document was prepared, who prepared it and who made it viral.

Actually, Haryana Staff Selection Commission has to organize CET. In this context, first of all one time registration portal has to be opened. On the night of 28 April, suddenly a document of many pages went viral on social media. The structure and information of this viral advertisement document was such that it looked real. Haryana Staff Selection Commission was written on it. Some YouTubers made a video on this viral document and uploaded it.
Although the commission immediately declared it fake, but lakhs of youth willing to give CET got confused for once. This also tarnished the image of the commission. Seeing its seriousness, the commission immediately complained to the police, on the basis of which the police registered an FIR. Now the police is interrogating the YouTubers and trying to find out how and when this fake document reached them.
