Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) is an independent body. Our Gurus have taught that no man should remain thirsty and everyone should get drinking water. But the Punjab government stopped the drinking water of Haryana last month.
The Punjab government has done selfish politics and worked to mislead the people on this. Talking to reporters in Ludhiana on Saturday, Naib Saini claimed that the people of Punjab have made up their mind to follow the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Looking at the zeal and enthusiasm seen among the people of Punjab, the BJP government will be formed in the assembly elections to be held in 2027.
The previous governments in Punjab and the current Aam Aadmi Party government betrayed the people here and worked to push Punjab back. He said that the Aam Aadmi and the Congress are stuck in the quagmire of corruption. Some of their leaders are in jail due to corruption charges and some are about to go. The path of corruption that Congress had adopted, the AAP government is also moving two steps ahead on the same path at a fast pace.
Every citizen of Punjab has come to terms with their corruption. The people here will work to send the Aam Aadmi Party government out in the coming times. He said that along with our policy and intention being clear, our leadership is also strong, but the policy of Congress and Aam Aadmi Party is neither clear, nor their intention to work and there is no trace of their leadership.
‘Punjab government deprived people of central schemes’
Naib Singh Saini said that in Haryana, under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, lakhs of sisters were given free gas connections. In Punjab, the people were deprived of those schemes. During the Congress rule, gas cylinders were not available. Our government worked to end that gas line and deliver cylinders to the houses of the poor.
Similarly, in Haryana, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the government built houses for poor people, but in Punjab, they did not provide houses to the poor, but they definitely got their houses built. They are not concerned about the houses of the poor. In Haryana, 100% of the crops are purchased at MSP, but in Punjab, farmers were deprived of this.
In its 10 and a half years of tenure, the Haryana government gave compensation of Rs 15,500 crore for the damaged crops of the farmers. Along with this, subsidy is being provided to the farmers under agricultural equipment and irrigation schemes. Our government has implemented the Ayushman card for the poor person, under which treatment up to Rs 5 lakh is being done for free.
