The State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) Mohali has arrested Sikh For Justice (SFJ) terrorist Resham Singh. The accused is a resident of Hamidi village in Barnala. DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav said that preliminary investigation revealed that in the first week of June 2025, the accused had damaged the statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar in Nangal, Phillaur.
Resham Singh was working on the instructions of USA-based wanted criminal Surinder Singh Thikriwal and SFJ chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. He was involved in pro-Khalistan activities and was absconding since the incident.
According to sources, foreign funding was being received for these illegal activities. The arrested accused has already been arrested in two UAPA cases. These cases were registered in Karnal, Haryana and Sangrur, Punjab.
