The government will hold talks with the agitating students of Haryana Agricultural University. For this, a four-member committee has been formed by the government. Three Saini cabinet ministers and one MLA have been included in this committee. Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda, Public Works Department Minister Ranbir Gangwa, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Krishna Bedi and MLA from Nalwa Randhir Panihar have been included in the committee.
This four-member committee will hold talks with the students. Meanwhile, CM Naib Singh Saini has said that the Haryana government stands with the youth and students on every front. The youth will not be allowed to face any problem.
What is the whole matter..
1. Lathicharge on students outside VC residence on June 10
Security guards lathicharged students outside the Vice Chancellor (VC) residence late on Tuesday night, June 10 at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University in Hisar, Haryana. More than 20 students were injured in this. 6 students suffered serious injuries, who were admitted to the Civil Hospital.
2. Students are protesting against the scholarship policy
On Tuesday morning, students had come to meet the VC in protest against the scholarship policy in the afternoon. Here they got into an argument with the security guards. The students alleged that they were beaten up. At night, when they reached outside the VC residence to protest against this, the security guards chased them away again and lathicharged them.
3. FIR lodged on students’ complaint
After this, on the complaint of the students, the Civil Lines police station registered a case against the university’s security in-charge Sukhbir Singh, Professor Radheshyam, Registrar Pawan Kumar, Suman, Narendra, Jagmesh Poonia, Anoop and Bijendra under sections 110, 190, 191(2), 191(3) and 351(3).

Assistant Professor Radheshyam arrested
After the agitation of students in Haryana Agricultural University, the police arrested Professor Radheshyam, accused of lathicharge. The university administration has suspended four security guards including the professor. The students had accused the professor of lathicharge. The leaders had supported the students’ protest.
Committee formed to talk to students
Vice Chancellor Professor BR Kamboj has formed a 3-member committee to talk to the students in the matter. The committee’s chairman is Director of Research Dr. Rajbir Garg and Dean Post Graduate Studies and Dean Agriculture Dr. SK Pahuja. The committee has started working. The committee’s chairman said that talks with the students are going on and consensus has been reached on some issues. It is hoped that everything will become normal soon.
Students have boycotted the exam
The students’ protest is still going on regarding their demands. The students boycotted the exam held in the university last Monday as a protest. Out of 350 students, only about 50 students participated in the exam. These include 9 foreign students as well. Students have said that they will boycott all exams until the university administration accepts their demands. Students are now demanding that the VC should be asked to resign in this matter and those against whom the FIR has been filed should be arrested.
