Vigilance Raid at Former Punjab Minister Bikram Majithia’s House: Heated Argument with Officials, VIDEO Surfaces; Arrest Likely

Date:

Amritsar, Punjab: A 15-member Vigilance Bureau team conducted a surprise raid on the residence of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) senior leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia in Amritsar’s Green Avenue on Wednesday morning. The reason behind the raid has not yet been officially disclosed.

Sources confirm that SSP Lakhbir Singh from Vigilance is personally supervising the operation. Speculation is rife that Majithia may be arrested soon.

Majithia Releases Video of Confrontation: 3 Key Highlights

1. Majithia Demands Officer Identification

Majithia can be seen arguing with Vigilance officials, questioning their sudden entry and asking them to identify themselves. He accused them of trespassing and insisted that all proceedings be recorded on video.

2. “Sit Down and Talk Respectfully”: Majithia to Officers

He objected to their unannounced and non-uniformed entry into his home, saying they acted high-handedly. He repeatedly asked them to sit and communicate respectfully, questioning their authority without proper identification.

3. No Uniform, No Introduction: Majithia Refuses to Cooperate

He demanded that each member of the team introduce themselves. When some refused, he insisted on video documentation and criticized their manner of entry, calling it political vendetta.

Majithia’s Statement Post-Raid

Following the raid, Majithia accused the Bhagwant Mann-led AAP government of planning a fresh “false case” against him, after failing to prove allegations in an earlier drug-related case.

“The government is trying to silence my voice. File as many fake cases as you want, I won’t be silenced. I believe in God and truth will prevail,” said Majithia.

Controversy Over Minister’s Photos

Recently, Majithia had posted four personal photos of Punjab Minister Dr. Raj Kumar Ranjodh (Ravjot) on social media — including three objectionable images and one with CM Bhagwant Mann. He accused the minister of misconduct and demanded his dismissal from the party and government.

Minister’s Response and Legal Action

Dr. Raj Kumar responded, alleging that the photos were AI-manipulated images of him with his ex-wife, calling the act a “shameful invasion of privacy.” He lodged a police FIR against Majithia and those circulating the images.

Background: Previous Clashes

Majithia has long been a critic of AAP’s stance on the drug menace in Punjab. His public accusations and controversial posts have intensified tensions between SAD and the ruling AAP government.
