Mumbai, June 30, 2025 –
Indian equity markets began the week on a cautious note, with the Sensex falling 250 points to 83,800, and the Nifty down by 70 points at 25,570, amid pressure from auto, IT, and realty stocks.
Out of the 30 Sensex stocks, 15 advanced while 15 declined. Top gainers include Trent, Eternal, and Axis Bank, while Kotak Mahindra Bank, Airtel, and M&M dragged the index lower.
Among the 50 Nifty components, 25 stocks traded in the red, while the rest remained positive. Notably, the Nifty PSU Bank Index gained 1.55%, providing some cushion to the benchmark indices.
