Former Punjab Deputy CM and Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal has once again been declared Tankhaiya. On Saturday, Takht Shri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib pronounced religious punishment on him. He was summoned twice to give his explanation, but he did not go there. According to the order of Takht Shri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib, Sukhbir Badal interfered in the rights of the managing committee of the Takht. He openly challenged the decisions taken in the committee meetings on 9 and 10 May 2023. The investigation of the Panj Pyare Singh Sahibs has made it clear that Sukhbir Badal also played an important role in this conspiracy.
The Panj Pyares gave Sukhbir Badal opportunities to present his side on 21 May and 1 June, but he did not appear before the Takht on both days. On the special request of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Harjinder Singh Dhami, he was given additional 20 days, but even on the third occasion, he did not present his side before the Takht.
