In the suspension letter issued by the Punjab government, it is written that in the video going viral on social media, Naib Tehsildar Jasbir Kaur is seen taking bribe from a Patwari. The government has said that it is committed to eradicate corruption from its roots. For this reason, Jasbir Kaur has been suspended with immediate effect.
During the period of suspension, Jasbir Kaur’s headquarters will be in the office of Deputy Commissioner, Fazilka. Deputy Commissioner, Fazilka will send the report of her attendance to the concerned department daily. Not only this, action has also been recommended against the Patwari seen giving bribe in the viral video.
