The leave of employees in government offices of Punjab has been canceled on Saturday and Sunday. Seeing the date of interest-free property tax payment approaching under the One Time Settlement Scheme launched by the Punjab Government for property tax payment, the Municipal Council Zirakpur has announced to open the office even on holidays.
Issuing a letter in this regard, the Executive Officer Zirakpur informed that as per the notification issued by the Punjab Government, the date till July 31 has been fixed for making property tax payment without interest till March 31, 2025. For the convenience of the people, the property tax branch will remain open on Saturdays and Sundays as well. He has appealed to the general public, builders and firms to pay the outstanding property tax without interest under the One Time Settlement Scheme before July 31, 2025, otherwise they will have to pay the property tax with interest later.
