Punjab Roadways Transport Corporation (PRTC), PUNBUS and Punjab Roadways Contract Union may once again block the government buses across the state on July 28. Interestingly, if the Punjab government does not seriously consider the demands of the union on July 27, then the strike already announced by the union will start from July 28.
Interestingly, on July 9, the people of Punjab had to face a lot of trouble due to the blockade of government buses across the state for a day and the Punjab government without any delay ended the strike by talking to the union leaders and started talks with them. On July 9, 2025 itself, Punjab Transport Minister Laljit Bhullar had assured them regarding the demands. But even after 11 days, there was no response.
Although the union leaders are hopeful that the Punjab government may call them for talks on July 27, but if the Punjab government does not call the union for talks, then the union will have no other option but to block the government buses across the state. The state president of the union, Resham Singh, has already announced that this time the strike will continue till the demands are met, but it is clear from the attitude of the Punjab government that it is not in a position to fulfill any demand put forward by the union leaders.
