The city of Ludhiana is known for its delicious sweets, cakes and bakery products, but the truth behind this taste is something else. When the kitchens and counters of these sweet and bakery shops were seen through the eyes of the camera, the pictures that came out are shocking. While on one hand the action of the health department is seen on some confectioners and bakery operators, on the other hand, outside the old vegetable market, famous sweet sellers are openly selling sweets by ignoring the health standards. It can be clearly seen in the pictures that how the workers at the sweet shop are cutting cheese with bare hands without gloves, hair net, and without any sanitization, and are putting sweets in boxes with bare hands and giving them to the customers. All the employees are not even wearing masks. This clearly shows that neither the Food Safety Act nor basic hygiene is being followed in these establishments.
The same is the case with the employee working at the cake counter who is neither wearing gloves nor a cap or mask on his head. The surface of these products is being touched with bare hands, which is a direct violation of the rules of the Food Safety Act. In another picture, it is seen how a person is cutting cheese with bare hands and giving it to the customer without any clean equipment. Even the shirt of the person cutting it has no attention towards cleanliness.
