A big gang has been exposed in Punjab, which used to sell land by posing as fake owners. Police has arrested 5 members of a gang. During this, 5 luxury cars and Rs 32.50 lakh have also been recovered from their possession.
A case has been registered against all the accused in Kharar. Giving information in this regard, Mohali’s Rural SP Manpreet Singh said that this gang was exposed when they made a person from Kharar their victim. The members of this gang had cheated the victim of Rs 50 lakh in the name of land, after which the police took action and arrested them. During the investigation, it has also come to light that 15-16 FIRs have already been registered against these accused. At present, the police is investigating this matter in depth.
They used to cheat in a cunning way
Police investigation has revealed that this gang used to cheat in a very cunning way. They used to come in expensive luxury cars so that no one suspects them. It is being told that the accused used to first look for those people who were looking to buy land. After this, they used to make their men stand in that area and cheat people of lakhs of rupees by taking money for the statement of the land. After this, they used to disappear from there.
