To provide relief to the public from expensive toll plazas across the country, the Central Government is going to release the facility of annual Fastag of Rs 3000 on 15th August this year, the notification of which has been issued by the National Highway Authority of India.
Now the drivers can buy this Fastag for Rs 3000 and register it with their vehicle and make 200 rounds throughout the year or across the country without any interruption. The Central Government is issuing a new Fastag for the first time on 15th August which will work on toll plazas across the country, by paying its annual fee of Rs 3000, you can pass through any toll plaza without any interruption for a year or 200 times without paying.
This is how it will be used
1. With this Fastag, the user will get permission for one year or 200 transactions without any charge. The consumer will have to register this Fastag of Rs 3000 on his vehicle only once.
2. This annual pass facility can be activated only on the Highway Yatra mobile application and NHAI website.
3) After the verification of this annual Fastag, the user will have to pay Rs 3000 for the year 2025-26 through the Highway Yatra mobile application or NHAI website. On confirmation of payment, this pass will be activated on the registered tag within 2 hours.
4) If your vehicle already has a Fastag, then do not buy a new annual Fastag again, your old Fastag will be registered on paying the fee.
5) This Fastag will be valid only for the vehicle with whose number the consumer has registered it.
6) This Fastag will be used in the same way as the drivers already use it by putting it on the windshield of their vehicle. 7) If the user’s Fastag is registered with the vehicle’s chassis number, he will not be able to avail the benefit of annual pass. He will have to update the registered number of his vehicle to activate the annual pass.
8) Once you pass through the toll plaza with your vehicle, it will be considered as a single trip. Coming and going will be considered as 2 trips.
9) On starting the use of this Fastag, the user will keep getting complete information about it through SMS on his registered mobile phone number.
10) With the introduction of this Fastag, the long queues of vehicles at the toll plaza will be reduced.
