There is great news for 3 lakh pensioners of Punjab. Now these pensioners will not have to make rounds of government offices. Actually, the Punjab government has announced a big facility for the pensioners of the state and the government employees who are approaching the date of retirement.
Now, to solve the problems related to pension, neither will one have to go to government offices nor will they have to take the recommendation of the officers. To ensure the process of pension and timely release of the amount, the state government is preparing a special “Pension Seva Portal”. In the first phase, a pilot project is going on in 6 departments including health, education, police, water supply and sanitation. In this, all the data of the retiring employees is being uploaded on the portal and all the necessary NOCs are being taken and sent to the bank. Records of old pensioners are also being uploaded on this portal, so that Jeevan Pramaan Patra can also be submitted online every year from home. The government’s goal is to directly benefit 3 lakh pensioners.
A “Grievance Box” has also been created in the portal, where every pensioner will be able to register his complaint, which will reach the concerned officer directly. A time limit has been set for every work and senior officers sitting in Chandigarh will be able to monitor the entire process. If any officer deliberately stops the file, action will be taken against him. This portal will be only for government employees. Employees of boards and corporations will not be included in it because their service rules are different. The government is planning that by the coming Diwali, this portal will be completely dedicated to pensioners. With this, the pension process will become completely digital, transparent and free from office hassles.
