Before going to the platform, the passenger will have to pass through the boom barrier.
Officials say that in the first phase, this process will be started by the railways at those railway stations, this process will be started at those railway stations where the passenger footfall is more than 20 thousand daily, after this it will be gradually implemented at all the stations.
70% work of foot over bridge complete
The construction work of foot over bridge (FOB) being built for passengers to go from one platform to another is about 70% complete. According to the information, two 12 meter wide foot over bridges (FOB) will be built on both ends of the railway station, one at Kalka and the other at Ambala end. These FOBs will be used by the passengers and they have also been connected to Panchkula and Chandigarh station buildings. These FOBs will be accessible from the platform through lifts and stairs. Only those passengers and relatives can go to the platform who have a railway ticket or a platform ticket. Those relatives who have a platform ticket will wait in the air concourse, not only this, the passenger whose train is late will also not be allowed to go to the platform, he will wait in the air concourse only. A 72 x 80 meter air concourse has been prepared by the railways and its finishing work is going on.
