The residents of the area were completely shaken by the massive explosions in the electric wires after sparking in the densely populated residential area of Gagandeep Colony of Sundar Nagar area falling under Powercom’s Sundar Nagar division. Area residents Shanky, Happy, Bittu, Sameer, Deepak, Satnam Chand, Amarjeet and Paramjeet Kaur etc. protested against the officers and employees of the Powercom department by levelling serious allegations of not listening to them. They have claimed that an atmosphere of terror has been created in the area due to the frequent sparking and explosions in the dilapidated electric wires. Despite complaining about this to the officers and employees of Powercom several times, they have not paid any heed. The officers are probably waiting for some fatal accident to happen in the area. On Monday afternoon, seeing the flames rising continuously from the electric wires in the area, the residents of the area complained about the matter to the Powercom employees several times but the officers and employees left the people to their fate.
