Municipal Corporation Commissioner Jyoti Bala Mattoo stated that the Local Bodies Department is offering a 10 percent discount on property tax payments for the current year, with the deadline being September 30th. In this regard, the Municipal Corporation’s property tax counters will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on government working days.
On Sunday, September 28th, for public convenience, the counters will remain open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Therefore, to benefit from the 10 percent discount on property tax for the current year, city residents should ensure they pay their outstanding property tax for their homes, shops, and industrial establishments by September 30th and maximize the benefits of this scheme.
