A baba named Baba Shivam Nath from Moga, Punjab, has come into the spotlight due to a viral video on social media. In the video, the baba is seen claiming to remove an elderly woman’s oxygen tube.
According to the video, the baba, in front of people sitting in his ashram, placed his hand on the woman’s head and blew on her, saying that she no longer needed the oxygen cylinder. The woman then removed the oxygen tube, but shortly afterward, her condition worsened, and she started gasping for breath. Seeing this, the baba said, “Today, Baba is not being shown the way.” Then, seeing the woman’s condition, the tube was reattached. The baba later said, “Perform service and remedies, either you will get well or you will pass away.”

The baba’s followers say that he has been performing “service” for the past 8-9 years and posts videos of his treatments on social media. People close to the baba say that he worships Peer Baba and Kali Mata and does not forcibly demand money from anyone; he only accepts what is given out of devotion. It is also reported that he has had disputes with Nihangs in the past. The video has received mixed reactions on social media – some people are calling it superstition, while others consider it a display of the baba’s “power.”
