Major Incident in Punjab This Morning: Akali Leader Shot

A tense atmosphere prevailed near Adda Three-A Chowk this morning when three unknown youths opened fire on young Akali leader Makhwinder Singh alias Mukha, son of Balkar Singh, a resident of Mardi Khurd.

According to reports, Makhwinder Singh had gone there to drop off his niece, Pawandeep Kaur, who studies at Khalsa College, at the bus stop. At that moment, three unknown youths on a motorcycle suddenly opened fire on him. Makhwinder Singh sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was admitted to an Amritsar hospital in critical condition.
