Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh, who is currently on his ‘Aura’ tour, has once again received new threats from Khalistani supporters. Diljit, who had already been warned by American Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, is now embroiled in a new controversy.
The Reason for the Controversy: Touching Amitabh Bachchan’s Feet
According to reports, Diljit received these new threats after touching the feet of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan. The controversy began when Diljit Dosanjh was seen touching Amitabh Bachchan’s feet in a promo for ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 17’.
Following this incident, the banned Khalistani group Sikhs for Justice, which has been declared a terrorist organization, issued a threat against the singer on October 29. SFJ chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannu had previously warned of disrupting Dosanjh’s Australia concert scheduled for November 1.
Threats to Stop the Auckland Show
According to an India Today report, pro-Khalistan slogans were allegedly raised at a concert in Perth, Australia, earlier. Now, Khalistani supporters have threatened to stop Diljit’s upcoming show in Auckland, New Zealand. Diljit had stated on his Twitter handle on November 9, 2025, that his next show is on November 13 in Auckland.
Diljit Adopts a ‘Silent’ Approach
Despite these continuous threats, Diljit Dosanjh has chosen to remain silent. He is refraining from directly responding to the threats and is instead sharing glimpses of his concerts on social media. After receiving the threats, Diljit clarified that he was not there to promote any film or song, but to raise awareness and support for Punjab flood relief efforts. Despite the threats, Diljit Dosanjh has continued his international tour.
