A team headed by Bablin Kaur, a senior officer of the DCP Amritsar-2 posted in the Drug Department, along with ASI Shamsher Singh, a police officer from Gate Hakiman, raided Maa Chintpurni Trades, Ram Tower Scheme No. 2, located at Katra Sher Singh. The officers recovered two types of banned medicines from the said medical store.
29,920 capsules of Pregabalin 300 mg and 610 tablets of Tapentadol were recovered. The officer said that their value is around Rs 9.15 lakh. The officer said that during this time the owner of the medical store could not even produce the sale-purchase record, on which the drugs and the said medical store were seized by the Drug Department under Form No. 16.
