Hindu leader Brij Mohan Suri immediately filed a written complaint with the Police Commissioner regarding the incident. Suri claimed that the suspect was captured on CCTV. Amidst threats he has been receiving for the past several days, the police have tightened his security. Suri stated that the CCTV footage clearly shows a man standing near the railway lines, constantly monitoring his house. He has also informed all police officials in writing about this.
Suri claimed that the suspicious person remained near the railway lines for a long time. He then crouched behind a tree and repeatedly looked towards Suri’s residence. The footage showed him acting as if he was hiding whenever someone approached, and also quickly leaving the area upon suspicion. He stated that he has brought the entire footage and the entire matter to the attention of senior police officials and investigating agencies. It is noteworthy that just a few days ago, Brij Mohan Suri received threats that militants had arrived in Amritsar and might detonate a bomb. Now, the suspect’s activities captured on CCTV have further complicated the matter.
