The GST search conducted at the famous Agarwal Vaishno Dhaba on Cool Road in Jalandhar appears to be developing into a major financial investigation. Following the completion of the search, the GST department officially confirmed the recovery of ₹2.80 crore in cash. The team also obtained information about at least six properties linked to owner Naresh Kumar.
According to sources, Naresh Kumar is not just a dhaba owner but also a member of a large real estate network spread across the city. Documents related to purchases and sales made at several prime locations are now on the radar of investigating agencies. Following the seizure of crores of rupees in the GST raid, the Income Tax Department and the ED have also become alert. It is believed that both agencies may soon begin investigations into the nature of the cash, the source of the transactions, and the funding of the properties.
