The Punjab government has made elaborate arrangements for the convenience and safety of devotees during the celebrations of the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the ninth Guru, Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha and Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav reviewed the preparations for the event and instructed officials that no negligence will be tolerated. The Chief Secretary urged all officers to work with a spirit of service and prioritize providing full facilities to the devotees. The Chief Secretary said that four divine Nagar Kirtans will arrive at Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 22nd, while the Sri Akhand Path Sahib will begin at Guru Ka Bagh Budha Dal Cantonment on November 23rd. The Sarvadharma Sammelan to be held on November 23rd will be attended by prominent religious figures and saints from India and abroad. He informed that a special session of the Punjab Legislative Assembly will be held at the Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial on November 24th, while the offerings of the Sri Akhand Path Sahib will be offered on November 25th.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will also participate in various religious programs. The Chief Secretary stated that for the convenience of the devotees, the government has made arrangements for accommodation for approximately 10,000 devotees in a tent city. Additionally, 500 free e-rickshaws and shuttle buses will facilitate the pilgrims’ travel to and from the venue. He also stated that 30 modern parking lots have been constructed over 100 acres. To keep Sri Anandpur Sahib clean and green, a special tree-planting campaign is also being launched, in which a large number of students, volunteers, and social organizations will participate. The administration is holding frequent meetings and reviewing opportunities at various levels to finalize the arrangements. Officials assured that every devotee visiting will be provided with a smooth and safe experience.
The government’s primary objective is to ensure that this historic event meets the highest standards of devotion, discipline, and service. Regarding security arrangements, DGP Gaurav Yadav stated that over 8,000 security personnel have been deployed, monitoring 25 different sectors. Over 500 CCTV cameras will monitor the entire area to ensure any unruly elements can be immediately controlled. ADGP Naunihal Singh will be responsible for the security of the special session of the Assembly.

Sakshi Sahni, Hargunjeet Kaur, Deputy Commissioners Rupnagar Varjeet Walia, Abhimanyu Malik, Nanak Singh, Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Himanshu Aggarwal, Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Himanshu Jain, Amardeep Sandhu DC Fazilka, ADA Sandeep Garha, ADC Pooja Siyal and other officers were present.
