The investigation into a fraud case against renowned Punjabi singer Hasan Manak has taken a serious turn. Kapurthala police have further strengthened the case by adding rape charges against the singer. According to reports, a fraud case was already registered against Hasan Manak based on a complaint from an NRI woman. During the investigation, the woman stated in her statement that Manak gained her trust by posing as a major celebrity and then raped her. Based on the statement, the police decided to add other serious charges, including Section 376 (rape), to the case.
The NRI woman alleges that Manak, posing as a prominent singer and high-profile celebrity, cultivated a close relationship with her and repeatedly forced physical relations with her, despite his being married.
It should be noted that Hasan Manak was arrested by Kapurthala police on November 13th in a previously filed fraud case. Manak is accused of extorting lakhs of rupees from an NRI woman. During the investigation, when the woman mentioned rape in her detailed statement, the police considered it serious and added rape-related sections of the Indian Penal Cod
