Ravinderpal Singh alias Babby Brar, brother-in-law of MP and former Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, one of the accused in the double murder case that occurred nearly seven and a half months ago in Abulkhurana village in Malout city, surrendered in the Malout court yesterday evening. The court has remanded the accused in the case to police custody. He will now be produced in court on December 5th.
It is noteworthy that Vinay Pratap Singh Brar, son of Gurprem Singh, and his 22-year-old son, Surya Pratap Singh, were killed in a shootout over a land dispute in Abulkhurana village on April 19, 2025. In this case, the Malout City Police had registered a murder case against Davinder Singh Rana, son of Dilraj Singh, resident of Abulkhurana, Nachhattarpal Singh Brar, son of Gurmel Singh Brar, Ravinderpal Singh Babbi Brar, son of Nachhattarpal Singh, and an unidentified person, based on the statements of the deceased Vinay Pratap’s 25-year-old daughter, Sazia Brar. In her statement, Sazia Brar stated that the case involved a dispute over 20 acres of land.
