Viral video: Delivery agent beaten with helmet by 2 scooter riders after crash; bystanders intervene
Man wearing a cap confronts attackers, slapping one of the scooter riders during the assault
A minor road collision escalated into a violent assault involving a delivery agent and two scooter riders, with the incident captured on CCTV and circulating widely on social media.
The video shows the delivery agent entering a main road at a junction when two men on another scooter, allegedly riding at high speed, collided with him. Following the impact, the two riders fell to the ground and the delivery agent’s bag landed on the road.
Instead of checking for injuries, the two riders allegedly attacked the delivery agent. One of them is seen striking him with a helmet, causing him to fall, after which he was repeatedly kicked.
As the attack continued, bystanders began gathering at the spot, with some stepping in to stop the assault and help the injured delivery agent. The confrontation grew louder as more pedestrians and riders arrived and questioned why such extreme violence was used following a minor collision.
The video has drawn widespread attention online. According to a News18 report, it could not be independently verified when or where the incident took place, though the clip circulating on social media claims to be from Mahadevpura in Bengaluru.
During the heated exchange, a man wearing a cap entered the scene and confronted the attackers directly, slapping the scooter rider who had been assaulting the delivery agent. Others present also joined in restraining him.
The man in the cap emerged as the focal point of the video.
One user commented, “It was not fault of delivery agent actually. But later these 2 people got the treatment they deserved.”
Another wrote, “That chacha deserves loud applause.”
Several others referred to him as “topi wale chacha”, praising his courage and calling his intervention commendable.
