SBI Chandigarh celebrates International Mother Language Day
Authors from the staff, whose books have been published, were awarded and felicitated
The State Bank of India, Chandigarh Division, celebrated International Mother Language Day on February 21, at the local head office. The programme was presided over by Chief General Manager, Chandigarh Circle, Krishan Sharma.
General Manager (Network-2) Neeraj Bharti, General Manager (Network-3) Vimal Kishore, Deputy General Manager and Circle Development Officer Kajal Kumar Bhowmik, and other staff members attended the programme.
The objective was to honour and encourage the use of various mother tongues. Authors from the staff, whose books have been published, were awarded and felicitated by Krishan Sharma. A cultural programme featured staff presentations in different mother tongues.
Sharma highlighted the importance of mother tongue, saying it allows for better expression and has a greater impact. He added that dealing with customers in their mother tongue strengthens personal and business relationships, making them feel connected to the bank.
