Many young people in Punjab have fallen prey to drug addiction. Meanwhile, an incident has come to light in Fazilka, where a group of women intercepted an MLA on the road. Lodging a complaint, the women stated that drugs are being sold openly in their village and that the youth are becoming addicted to them. A video of this encounter is currently going viral on social media. The women appealed for strict action to be taken in this matter.
Pleading for help, one woman revealed that her son is addicted to drugs. In response, the MLA assured them that arrangements would be made to provide treatment for the youth trapped in the quagmire of addiction. Furthermore, assistance would be provided to help them secure employment. During the interaction, an appeal was issued urging any family with a member suffering from drug addiction to come forward with information so that appropriate assistance can be extended to them.
