A serious case involving speeding and reckless driving has come to light in the US state of Ohio. According to reports, Tarsem Singh—a 33-year-old man of Punjabi origin—crashed his Range Rover into a Jeep while attempting to evade the police, driving at speeds reaching approximately 200 kilometers per hour.
In this tragic accident, a 17-year-old pregnant girl died instantly at the scene, and the unborn child she was carrying also lost its life. Following the incident, the accused was immediately taken into custody. A court has imposed a fine of $1 million (approximately ₹9.4 crore) on Tarsem Singh. Additionally, the next hearing in the case has been scheduled for April 3. It is noteworthy that the accident occurred on the night of February 16, 2026, following which the accused was arrested.
