Punjab has been experiencing intermittent rainfall over the past few days. Additionally, hailstorms have occurred in several areas. Consequently, while residents have found relief from the heat, farmers remain under a cloud of anxiety; with the wheat crop standing ready in the fields, the rain is causing damage to the harvest. Amidst this situation, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning. The department has released a weather forecast valid until April 9, indicating that Punjab will continue to receive rainfall in the coming days, accompanied by strong winds and the possibility of hailstorms.
**Rain Expected Today and Tomorrow**
According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rainfall is likely today—April 5—and tomorrow—April 6—in the districts of Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, Nawanshahr, Mohali, Gurdaspur, and Pathankot.
**Major Forecast for April 7 and 8**
Furthermore, a significant shift in weather patterns is anticipated on April 7 and 8, with a high probability of rainfall accompanied by hailstorms across most districts of Punjab. In light of this, ‘Yellow’ and ‘Orange’ alerts have been issued for several districts during this period.
