A bomb threat directed at the court complexes in Mohali and Kharar has caused a major scare in the region. The Mohali District Court Complex was immediately evacuated following the receipt of an email threatening to blow up the premises. Judicial officials alerted the police about the threat, prompting police investigation teams and a bomb disposal squad to rush to the scene.
Panic Ensues in the Premises Upon Receipt of Threat
It is noteworthy that the Mohali Court had received a similar threat on a previous occasion as well; at that time, too, the court complex was evacuated and searched, though no suspicious objects were found. The police’s cyber team has so far been unable to identify the sender of the threat. In a related development, the Kharar Court Complex also received a bomb threat. Upon receiving the threat, panic spread through the premises, and the police immediately evacuated the entire court complex and the lawyers’ chambers. The area has been cordoned off, a search operation has been initiated, and the matter is being investigated with utmost seriousness.
