A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from the village of Mahima Sarja in Bathinda district, where a son displayed extreme brutality toward his own elderly mother over a dispute regarding the division of land and farming machinery. It is alleged that during the altercation, the son attempted to crush his mother under a tractor, leaving the woman critically injured.
According to reports, there had been long-standing tension between the victim, Naseeb Kaur, and her son, Kuldeep Singh, over property matters. On the day of the incident, Kuldeep Singh was driving the tractor to go somewhere. At that moment, the mother—demanding her rightful share—attempted to stop the tractor and, in protest, lay down directly in its path.
**Heart-Wrenching Incident Captured on CCTV**
The entire incident was recorded by a CCTV camera installed in the street. The footage clearly shows that the accused son did not stop the tractor, and its front wheels rolled right over the elderly woman. This resulted in severe injuries to the woman. Even after this, the accused showed no remorse. Furthermore, he got off the tractor, dragged his injured mother to the side of the road, and fled the scene.
**Elderly Woman Hospitalized; Accused Absconding**
Following the incident, Naseeb Kaur was immediately admitted to the Civil Hospital in Goniana, where, according to doctors, she has sustained multiple internal injuries. It is reported that the accused son fled the scene with the tractor, aided by an accomplice.
**Police Seize Footage and Initiate Investigation**
Speaking on the matter, Amritpal Singh, DSP of Bhucho, stated that the police have taken possession of the CCTV footage. He emphasized that the case is extremely serious and the footage is being treated as crucial evidence. The victim’s statement is currently being recorded, and strict legal action will be taken against the accused once the investigation is complete.
