In an initiative dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of the Ninth Master, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) is set to offer a one-time ‘Special Opportunity’ (Mercy Chance) to students who were unable to pass their Class 10 or Class 12 board examinations.
It has been announced that all students who have appeared in any examination conducted by the Punjab School Education Board since March 2010—and failed to pass—will be eligible for this special opportunity (Mercy Chance). This opportunity can be availed by students who have successfully passed at least one subject. For students of Classes 10 and 12, this special provision will serve as a final avenue for obtaining their board certification.
The online registration process is scheduled to commence on April 27, 2026, and the special examinations will be conducted starting from July 15, 2026. Officials stated that detailed instructions, subject-wise syllabi, and the application link will be made available on the official website of the Punjab School Education Board.
