In Australia, the registration of a female immigration agent of Punjabi origin has been revoked, and she has been handed a five-year ban. Consequently, she is now barred from working as a migration agent in Australia for the next five years.
It is reported that Vanit Kaur Chadha—who has been working as an immigration agent for 10 years—faces allegations of fraud. It is alleged that she has been ensnaring people through misleading advertisements and obtained her own registration by submitting fraudulent documents.
Australia’s Department of Home Affairs detected irregularities in visa applications submitted by Vanit Kaur, who facilitated Australian visas for youths from Punjab and other Indian states. An investigation subsequently conducted by OMARA (Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority) concluded that she had engaged in fraudulent conduct by violating established regulations. As a result, individuals who migrated to Australia through Vanit Chadha’s services may now also face scrutiny.
