Setback for Driving Test Takers in Ludhiana: New Obstacle on the Track
The grass growing on the driving test track located in Sector 32 has become a major source of trouble for applicants these days. Many candidates appearing for their driving license tests state that they are failing unnecessarily due to the poor condition of the track. Maintaining balance is proving particularly difficult during tests for two-wheelers and four-wheelers, as the grass has grown so thick in several sections of the track that the correct path is no longer clearly visible.

According to the applicants, a driving test is a technical process where precision and control are absolutely essential. However, when the track itself is not clear, candidates are unable to demonstrate their full capabilities. Several candidates reported that they arrive fully prepared for the test, but the grass causes them to lose their vehicle’s balance or makes it impossible to judge the designated lines, resulting in their failure. This not only wastes their time but also subjects them to the hassle of paying fees again and scheduling a new test date.

Some candidates have also alleged that the track has not been properly maintained for a long time. The problem continues to escalate due to a lack of regular cleaning and upkeep. Many individuals have urged the administration to ensure that the track meets all necessary standards for a critical process like the driving test, thereby preventing any injustice to applicants. Meanwhile, the Track In-charge, Mohammad Shabir, adopted a constructive stance regarding the issue, stating that necessary steps are being taken to improve the track’s condition. He informed that instructions have been issued to the relevant team to carry out cleaning operations, and the grass will soon be cleared from the track to restore it to proper order.

Cleaning to Begin Soon: A.R.T.O.
When A.R.T.O. Deepak Thakur was approached regarding this matter, he acknowledged that the issue of grass overgrowth on the track had come to his attention. He stated that the department is taking this issue seriously and that the track will be cleaned shortly. For now, applicants hope that the administration will take prompt action, as promised, so that they may be relieved of unnecessary inconvenience and the driving test process can be completed in a transparent and fair manner.
