Incidents of theft are on the rise in the district. Reports have emerged regarding attempted thefts involving the smashing of car windows by a single perpetrator at two separate locations late at night in Sultanpur Lodhi and its surrounding areas. According to reports, these incidents occurred during the night, with the thief arriving on a white Activa scooter. The thief had completely covered his face to prevent identification, and the scooter’s license plate was also concealed. In the village of Mewa Singh Wala, an attempt was made to steal a car by breaking its window—belonging to a teacher—while in Sultanpur Lodhi city, a property dealer’s car was similarly targeted.
Both incidents were captured on surveillance cameras, clearly revealing the thief’s actions. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and have initiated a serious investigation into the matter. The rising frequency of thefts in the area has created an atmosphere of fear among the residents; however, the police have assured the public that the accused will be arrested shortly.
