In a significant operation, the police have arrested a young man found in possession of a weapon. It is reported that the youth was planning to carry out a major crime. The police recovered a 9mm Glock pistol, a magazine, and three cartridges from the accused’s possession and have registered a case against him at the Bajakhana Police Station.
The accused has been identified as Raj, son of Bohad Nath, a resident of Awa Basti, Ferozepur. According to the information received, the police apprehended him during a patrol at a secluded spot near the cremation ground in the village of Rauwala. During a search, the pistol and cartridges were recovered from his person. Providing details regarding the incident, the police stated that the investigation revealed the accused was plotting to execute a major criminal act. Currently, the accused has been produced before a court and taken into police custody on a two-day remand. The police are continuing to interrogate the accused to determine the source of the weapon. Additionally, his backward and forward linkages are being investigated.
