Due to rain and strong winds across several parts of Punjab, the weather remains pleasant, offering residents much-needed relief from the heat. The Weather Department has once again forecast the possibility of rain for today.
**Likelihood of Rain Accompanied by Storms**
According to the department, light to moderate rainfall is likely in Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Sangrur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Rupnagar, Patiala, and SAS Nagar. Additionally, a warning has been issued for several districts regarding strong winds—gusting at speeds of 40–50 kilometers per hour—accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. Rain accompanied by storms is also expected in various parts of the state on May 6. Residents have been advised to exercise caution during this period.
**Rain Expected in Some Areas Between May 6 and 8**
According to the Weather Department, a Western Disturbance is currently active over Northern Pakistan, moving forward at an altitude of approximately 3 kilometers. Furthermore, a cyclonic circulation system persists over Haryana and surrounding regions, extending up to an altitude of about 1.5 kilometers. This is the reason behind the observed change in weather patterns. According to the department, there is a possibility of rain in some locations between May 6 and May 8 as well.
