Lawlessness Crosses All Limits: Husband Surrounded and Beaten in Broad Daylight; Wife Dragged into Shop and Subjected to Indecent Acts While Attempting Rescue

Date:

In this metropolis, the audacity of criminals has reached such alarming levels that stepping out onto the streets has become a perilous ordeal for the public. A shocking incident—a blatant defiance of law and order—has come to light, wherein a group of thugs not only surrounded and brutally beat a man in public but also forcibly dragged his wife—who had intervened to save him—into a shop, tore her clothes, and subjected her to obscene acts in full public view.

**Seeing Her Husband’s Life in Danger, the Woman Rushed to the Scene**

Before fleeing, the accused also robbed the victim’s family of thousands in cash and a mobile phone. Upon receiving information regarding the incident, the police at the Tibba police station initiated an investigation into the matter. Based on the statement provided by the victimized woman, the police have registered a case under serious penal sections against the accused, Davinder Singh, and his unidentified accomplices. According to reports, the complainant stated to the police that on the night of May 25, around 9:00 PM, she received a phone call from her husband. Speaking in a panicked tone, he informed her that several assailants had surrounded him in front of “Bittu’s Shop” and were brutally assaulting him. Perceiving that her husband’s life was in danger, the woman immediately rushed to the scene. The moment she attempted to intervene and rescue her husband, the brutality of the accused escalated further. The assailants dragged both the woman and her husband inside the shop, where they proceeded to beat them both mercilessly.

**Accused Looted ₹55,000 in Cash from the Husband’s Pocket**

The hooliganism crossed all bounds when the accused grabbed the woman’s *salwar-suit*, tore it apart, and subjected her to highly obscene acts. When the woman resisted, the attackers assaulted her with a sharp-edged weapon, inflicting a severe injury to her left arm. The victim stated that during the assault and mistreatment, the accused extracted ₹55,000 in cash from her husband’s pocket and also snatched away her Vivo mobile phone. When the victimized couple mustered the courage to raise an alarm, the accused—seeing a crowd gathering nearby—fled the scene while issuing death threats.
